  • Wanting to show up differently in leadership, at work, or in your personal life
  • Feeling stuck in familiar cycles and ready to try a new way forward

What We Focus On

Clarifying goals and outcomes – Defining what you want to shift, build, or let go of, personally or professionally.

Identifying recurring patterns – Exploring habits, dynamics, and assumptions that keep you from moving forward.

Deepening emotional awareness – Increasing your capacity for self-reflection, regulation, and intentional choice.

Strengthening communication and decision-making – Practicing more direct, grounded, and effective ways of relating and leading.

Creating practical strategies and accountability – Translating insight into action steps, structures, and follow-through over time.

The work is collaborative and future-focused. Together, you will look at what is and what is not working, try new approaches, and refine strategies as you go.

How the Process Works

Frequency: Typically weekly or biweekly, adjusted to fit your goals and capacity.

Length: Standard 50-minute sessions, with room to discuss alternate formats if needed.

The coaching/consulting relationship is grounded in privacy, collaboration, and a shared commitment to your goals.

Important Distinction: Coaching vs. Psychotherapy

This Coaching/Consulting track is educational and growth-oriented. It is not psychotherapy and does not substitute for mental health treatment.

If you are experiencing significant emotional distress, safety concerns, or believe you may need mental health care, Dr. Pearson will encourage you to seek support from an appropriate mental health provider and can offer referrals when possible.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is the difference between life coaching and therapy?

Life coaching is educational and growth-oriented. It focuses on goals, skills, and behavior change. Therapy (psychotherapy) addresses mental health diagnoses, emotional distress, trauma, and clinical conditions. Coaching does not substitute for mental health treatment. If you are unsure which track is right for you, schedule an initial consultation and Dr. Pearson can help you determine the best path.

  • Do I need a diagnosis to work with a life coach?

No. Life coaching does not require a diagnosis. It is designed for people who are generally functioning well but want support with transitions, goals, communication, or personal growth.

  • Can I use insurance to pay for life coaching?

No. Life coaching is billed as self-pay only and is not submitted to insurance. If you need services that may be covered by insurance, ask about our clinical behavioral health services track.

  • What is neurodivergent coaching?

Neurodivergent coaching provides individualized guidance for people with autism, ADHD, or other neurological differences. Dr. Pearson focuses on strategies that honor each person's strengths, learning style, and sensory needs. This includes support with life transitions, career advising, IEP advocacy, and building executive functioning skills.

  • What is IEP advocacy?

IEP advocacy involves collaborating with families and schools to review, develop, and implement Individualized Education Programs. An IEP advocate attends meetings, translates educational jargon, and ensures students receive the services, accommodations, and supports they are entitled to.

  • How long does life coaching take to see results?

Results depend on your goals, engagement, and consistency. Some clients experience shifts within a few sessions. Others benefit from ongoing coaching over several months. Dr. Pearson works with you to set realistic expectations and adjust the frequency of sessions as needed.

  • Can life coaching help with career changes?

Yes. Career advising and coaching is one of the core services. This includes strengths-based career exploration, job search support, interview preparation, and workplace advocacy. It is especially tailored for neurodivergent job seekers navigating career transitions.
